This book will start its journey as a bookring in Lisbon on July 19th 2008 when I will give it to the first participant in the bookring, Marcenda.

It will be part of the Leonard Cohen World Tour Release Challenge, as Leonard Cohen will be performing in Lisbon on that day. I'm very pleased to release something I created on that day. I want it to be a big "Thank you" for all the music and the poetry he's put into my live. :)

Each mandala will have the name of the bookcrosser who will colour it in the back, and the number of the slides will be listed here, beside the name of the participant. Those participants who have only chosen one or two mandalas are welcome to color any of the mandalas that haven't been chosen by anyone.

This book was passed on to me today, on a lovely summer afternoon, overlooking River Tagus and drinking ice beer. I finally got to meet boirina and her friend Pau, who is also a bookcrosser (sorry, can't remember his screen name). I'm writing this JE still smiling about all the silly stuff we said and knowing that right now they are being blown away by Leonard Cohen's beautiful music. Thanks, boirina, I hope the sun and warmth we shared today somehow passes onto my mandalas.

I loved this book! I'm going to order a stack of them to offer on birthdays and Christmas. My first mandala is nothing to write home about, but I'm very pleased with my work on the second one. I really wish I could see what it will look like in the end. Thanks a lot for this, boirina. I'll send it on to YellowBow asap.

I had such a nice time colouring my mandalas. :) Usually I print Boirina's black and white bookplates and colour them. But the mandalas from this book, because being bigger and detailed were much fun. :)

Now I am taking care of the book. Good thing they are named on the back, otherwise it would be hard to remember which ones I picked. I will get to this soon and won't hold up the book longer than necessary.

Well, it took me a month adn still my plan was to be fast. I am sorry about that. Imagine if I had planned for it to take a long time. I have already asked for quakes address and will send the book immediately.

Anyway, I have colored my three pieces, and I am very glad you wrote the name on the back, boirina. Otherwise it had been difficult to remember which ones I had picked.

16/12/08: I finally did it. As I enjoyed the mandalas so much, I even colored a third one (one of the free ones). Thank you so much, it was very inspiring and I enjoyed it very much.

I am not signed up for this bookring, my partner is, I was so stunned by the beauty and creativity in the pages of this lovely and magical book that my partner said he had asked boirina if I could do one of the ones that had not been chosen by anyone. Yesterday I enjoyed looking and "feeling" the mandalas on the pages, tonight I have been completely absorbed in putting a bit of me in the unclaimed one that "spoke" to me and what a lovely experience it has been.

A very warm thank you to you, boirina, for an amazing gift. May your life and your soul be filled with love, light and joy.

Time to return the book to Scoobs-buddy. :)

I screwed up-- left the book lying open while I went to answer the phone- came back and started coloring without paying attention & few minutes later realized the page had turned and I was coloring the wrong mandala-- oops. The one I'm doing should have belonged to judygreeneyes---hopefully she isn't going to send the karma police to beat me or anything. I hereby make a public apology for my careless mistake & beg forgiveness- I'll leave the one I am supposed to be doing for judygreeneyes and go on and finish this one. AND I promise to be very careful and pay attention before I begin coloring my other one.
