This proved to be an exceptionally good book for a number of reasons: First of all it makes you laugh, Tony Hawks is very funny and the whole absurd premise of it is brilliant. The general observations and thoughts he puts in all the way through really add to the book and make it a fun and enjoyable, easy read.
But at a completely different level it is a great insight, however skewed, into a world I would otherwise know very little about. AN impression of this gets into your brain while you are having a very enjoyable read.
Maybe not on a par with 'Little Women of China' or something it nevertheless givesthat introduction to some part of the world that would ot have crossed by mind to examine otherwise, and in some places it is very sad, or at least emotional, if read the right way.

Loved Round Ireland with a Fridge and One Hit Wonderland so I think this should be a winner too.

Really enjoyed this. A great insight into the difficult lives of people living in Moldover, which came across in spite of the jocular nature of the subject matter.
