I read in a an interview Meg Cabot did that she regretted the steamy scenes in this novel. To this I say, thank goodness you DID write this one! :) Listen, I love Meg Cabot's books...teen or otherwise..., but sometimes as an adult reader, I like having the mix of Cabot humor and wit, and a steamy sense of passion between two characters. In this case, Lou (the screen writer) and Jack (the hot actor) are at opposite ends and purposes, and yet find themselves thrown together as a result of a plane crash. In a way, it's the Pride and Prejudice scenario where one is full of pride and the other is full of prejudice, and this life-threatening incident forces them to see past their issues to see what's real (which includes a nice butt on his part, as Lou frequently brings up). I liked how Lou was tough as nails and not just an easy get for hottie Jack Townsend. If he really wanted her, he'd have to prove it, because she was honestly okay either way; she's not going to die without him, and can stand on her own two feet. How great. I loved it! Thanks Meg for pandering to your readers that like steam once in awhile! :)
