What can I say, there is no excuse... I was a rock-chick GnR fan. Should be hilarious. First page I flicked to in the record shop read "that was the first time I mainlined". Well at least he will be honest.
Had old flatmate from LA who went to school with him and Lenny Kravitz.

That was surprisingly good. Its quite a chunky volume but managed to finish it in a couple of days. Was great reading all the behind the scene's stuff with GnR but equally, if not more rewarding, was his frank account of his excesses with drink and drugs. As you would expect, the woman who come into contact with the lifestyle don't come off too well, with the exception of his second wife Perla (who seems to have her head screwed on and knows what she wants and how to get it). But he comes across as trying to be fair and sometimes sympathetic. Also shy and loyal. He also manages to describe his personal journey of understanding his motivations and getting clean without being wooly and full of LA therapist speak.
And Axl still comes on stage 2 hours late. I know who I'd rather have a beer with.
