Just read Bridget Jones' Diary. Fun, easy reading. I'd seen the film already, so part of the time I knew where the story was going; but even then, it was fun to read it.
Found many of my little obsessions; hope in a couple of years time still be able to laugh at it (and at me as well!)

I'll send it to Mfa through Fio-dagua.
The tale of the snoopy carrier..
On her way to mfa, Bridget passed by and I had the chance to know her. Veredict? Funny and paranoiac, as expected.

got the book through fio-dagua, at a folk dancing festival. it was almost released on the wild by mistake! unlike most people i haven't seen the movie, but i was told i'd have enjoyed it very much. so i'm looking forward to reading this.
**********PLEASE NOTE********* this is an international bookray and should be treated as such, if anyone would like to join, please PM me - please PM the next person on the list to let the book continue it's journey through the bookray reader's list - in order! PM me with **any** queries
Hi there!
Well, I suppose that note was adressed to me.
The thing is nastenka-d asked me to deliver the book to mfa, since I was meeting her at the end of August.
Meanwhile, I read the book.
I made a journal entry on them to share an opinion and 'cause I thought there wouldn't be a problem.
Sorry if I messed up.. I think the book didn't mind.
happy readings! ;o)

although it sat on my shelf unread for too long (too many bookrings, of course), i managed to this this book over the weekend.
i laughed a lot, and got somehow depressed at my bridget-jones symptoms. i guess if the book had been written a bit later, it'd be about a woman in her thirties, highly educated but single and... unemployed!
howerver, the tone has become king of a generation trend, so there wasn't really anything new for me. i specially enjoyed the post-modern humour on post-modernism.

thanks jackshome for starting this BookRay, looking forward to read this book.. I have seen the movie during a flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles....
update 11/10/2003:
Okay, I thought the book was really more funny than the movie, it is sometimes difficult to read a book after you have seen the movie. Because now you have already the characters in your mind like the actors in the movie you have seen.
Because I have also the second book at my house I will sent both books together if possible.
Will let you know more later.

It arrived at my mailbox about a week and a half ago but I was on vacation. I will start reading this and the sequel right away.
I just finnished. And now have to read the sequel and I will send them both on to the next person.
This was a nice escape type of read. Something that I needed as I have been fighting a bad cold and anything that requires thinking would not have worked.
This is one case where I enjoyed the movie better. The book and the movie follow along the same for the most part with some differences. One thing about the book I don't think the other characters were developed well, I did not have any reason to like them or not.
Thank you for sharing the book.

Forgot to journal when I received this. I am reading it now. Will pass on as soon as I'm done with both books.
What a hoot! And to think I almost didn't read it. I just couldn't seem to get into it at first. So glad I gave it a chance. I guess I'll have to see the movie now.
A couple of questions - being from the States, I couldn't for the life of me figure out her weight. It took me 3/4 of the way through the book just to figure out that WAS her weight. LOL And was this book the original "Sex and the City"? My mind kept putting the Carrie in as Bridget.
Anyways, I will send these off as soon as I hear from the next person on the list with mailing info.
Thanks so much, I'm so glad I read these!
