A Stir of Echoes

This eerie ghost story, by award-winning author of Hell House and I Am Legend, inspired the acclaimed 1999 film starring Kevin Bacon
This book fills in details that the movie glosses over. I read it quickly and really enjoyed it

Update: I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the movie. I know it's a little backwards but I LOVE Kevin Bacon and loved this movie. I was kind of hoping I would be "rewatching" the movie when I read this book, but it's pretty different. :-( I am sure it would have been the reverse reaction if I had read the book first.
I just asked for the next reader's addy. Once I finish What Dreams May Come, I will send this on with it.

Thanks for sharing it!
If you have seen the Kevin Bacon's movie, you'll find certain plot changes... but the core is still there.
Very well written, no wonder Stephen King and others cite this author as their referent.
Soon to be sent to Cambridgelass...

Thankyou so much for including me in this ring.
I really enjoyed both books, He really has a way with writing that just keeps you hooked. Both are very different from the films which is great and i think they are better because of it.
What Dreams May Come is an oddone but it is thourghly enjoyable. It got a wee bit wishy washy towards the end but overall it was a brilliant book and very well thought out.
A Stir of Echoes was just creepy, for an old book it works so well and plays on the fears that are still relevant today. Really on the edge of your seat moments.
Thanks again am off to the post office to post onto the next member :)

Posting off to the next member now. Many thanks for including me :)
I though it was a lot better than the film, which I really enjoyed. I didn't want to finish it.
I don't want to give too much of the plot away, but I had guessed quite a way in.
It's now travelling to special1165. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
