I got this book from a generous Brooklyn FreeCycler specifically to share
with others through BookCrossing.com.

Welcome and Congratulations!

You've not only found a book, but also a wonderful community of readers and book lovers who think our books should be "out there," not gathering dust on our shelves. We register our books at BookCrossing.com so we can keep up with where they go, who reads them, and what people think of them. We release books "into the wild," trade books, and discuss all things bookish on our forums.

If you like the BookCrossing concept, you might want to register a screen name (no one is ever given your e-mail address), so that you can keep up with this book, and maybe release others. Or you can journal this book as Anonymous Finder. It's all perfectly safe, confidential, fascinating, and fun. If you do join, please tell the BookCrossing powers that be, that MarysGirl sent you their way.

This book is now yours to do with as you wish, but I hope choose to pass it on.

Thanks and Happy “Crossings!”
MarysGirl

Rec'd in the mail today! I remember reading this when I was in grade school, not yet fully understanding the horror of what happened to this sweet and introspective young girl after the diary ended. I wish I still didn't know. But we need to know, lest "we forget." Thank you, MarysGirl, for sending these books!

Offered as RABCK to a good home!

Aug 9, 2008: Requested by "OIReader" for a coworker in response to a RABCK offer. Will be traveling soon!

RELEASE NOTES: Sent to OIReader in Ohio!

thank you Doveilibri for sharing. I recently found out by accident that a co-worker had never read this. When he expressed interest I began my search for a copy. didn't have to search very hard as Doveilibri was offering a copy as a rabck :) I will give to Yohan tomorrow at work. please note he will probably not journal it, he has never journaled any of mine, but I'm sure he will enjoy it.

This book arrived as part of a very generous RABCK package sent to me by oi-reader. Thanks, oi!

Like DoveiLibri, I had read this book years and years ago. Some time later, I had the opportunity to tour Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam.
A couple of years back, I was saddened to learn that Dutch officials had had to cut down the tree that Anne so loved, and which figures in this book. The tree had become diseased, and was taken down with great regret.

Last week marked the passing of Miep Gies, Anne's helper and benefactress. Miep had lived to be 100.

Think I'll read this book again, now as an adult, since oi-reader (along with other BCers) has afforded me the opportunity.
