Hat sich heute auf den Weg zu Noria gemacht.

Heute kam das Buch, von dem ich schon viel gehört habe, endlich bei mir an. :)

Ich bin gespannt, ob es meine Erwartungen erfüllt. :)

Eine wirklich schöne, ungewöhnliche, teils witzige und teils rührende Liebesgeschichte, auch wenn ich mich als Leser von Science-Fiction an diese neue Art des Zeitreisens und den damit verbundenen Gesetzmäßigkeiten gewöhnen musste.

Die Adresse der nächsten in der Liste, habe ich bereits und das Buch wird sich bald auf den Weg zu ihr machen. :)

Ist heute vormittag zum Wilden Eber Jäger rausgegangen. ;)

Heute aus dem Briefkasten gefischt und gleich angefangen mit lesen. Klingt bis jetzt recht interessant. Ich bin gespannt.

Eine traurig- schöne, sehr berührende Geschichte. Durch sein zeitlich wie logisch schwieriges gedankliches Rahmenkonstrukt ein sehr beachtliches erstes Buch!

Emotional besonders beeindruckend fand ich das Nicht- Infragestellen der schicksalhaften Verbindung zwischen Henry und Clare, auf beiden Seiten. Keiner der beiden zweifelte an ihrem Zusammengehören. So sollte es sein... :-)

Dieses Buch sagte für mich vor allem:
Liebe schmerzt, ist oft schrecklich anstrengend und bleibt rational möglicherweise für immer unerklärlich. Aber trotzdem...!

Der wahre Sinn und Wert einer Liebesbeziehung erschließt sich letztendlich nur den direkt Beteiligten...und manchmal noch nicht einmal denen.

Oops, I know that this arrived sometime last week but I had several coming in, and must have missed journalling it, sorry.
I should keep in the 4 week slot, as I have one more book for naturalone, and plan to send them on together.

What a fulminant beginning!!!
There is so much in the first 8 or so pages, to fuel my brain or rather my fantasy... indeed, I considered, for a moment, not to continue with reading but making up my own story...
Is it possible to keep this pace in the remaining 300 pages?
We shall see...

Oct.28 I managed only 71 pages during my holidays! (one week in the countryside) and this only because I kinda "scheduled" a little reading time on the last two days... but since yesterday I'm back to my daily commute and making progress fast.

Nov.5 Wow, indeed, it can keep up! Every time that I think a certain concept is chewed through (literal translation:D) new one comes into the plot, a lawyer friend, a doctor and science, Henry's being dead... Although, I wonder, maybe he just manages to stay sound in some time and doesn't return... Some pages left to find out :o)

Ok, I had sent the book on in November (forgot to make a release entry)
together with this one: Girl's Poker Night
as naturalone was behind me in both rings...
Unfortunately, there is no JE since, and she did not reply to my two PMs (beginning and end of December). She doesn't seem very active at BC lately but I still have some hope, maybe she just can't access her mailbox or sth.
so I wrote her by snail-mail today.
Let's hope that she got the books.

I had already given up any hope,but the book finally arrived today ... together with 3 more bookrings. Ugh! I suppose that's what they call ring-jam!
I'll start with the smallest book and work my way up to the biggest one. I'm usually a fast reader, so it shouldn't tke too long until I can start on this one.

First of all: That was a very unusual love story and really a hard-to-put-down book, although, and this is my second point, at the end I was glad that the story was over. The story was just dragging along in some parts, and the story of Clare's endless pregnancies was quite bizarre, too.
It was very interesting to me that the story was told in circles, from past into future back to the past again and every now and then there was the present. I found it very disturbing that we learned about the eventual fate of the characters so early.

Die Frau des Zeitreisenden ist seit heute wieder auf Besuch bei mir ... :-)
Offensichtlich konnte das Buch nicht an unknown-user zugestellt werden, sondern wurde bei der Post zwischengelagert, dann aber nicht abgeholt.
Ich werde jetzt erst noch mal nachfragen, ob unknown-user eventuell zur Zeit in Urlaub ist und das Buch danach noch mal losschicken.
