BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Lizzie Nichols, a fashion-history major, wants nothing more than to graduate college and then fly off to London to be with her boyfriend, Andy. But at her graduation party, Lizzie finds out that she can't graduate until she writes a senior thesis. And when she lands in London, Andy turns out to be a liar, gambler, and a fashion disaster. Lizzie, stuck in London with a nonchangeable ticket home, escapes Andy via the Chunnel in hopes that her friend Shari, who is catering weddings for the summer at a French chateau, can help. On the train, Lizzie meets a stranger, Jean-Luc, and spills everything that has happened, only to find out that he is the son of the chateau's owner. At the chateau, Lizzie continues to babble when she shouldn't, ticking off Jean-Luc, shocking his mother, and upsetting a bride. Will she ever learn to keep her mouth shut? Cabot, best known for the young adult series The Princess Diaries, writes adult fiction that is just as playful, irreverent, and entertaining.

Arrived yesterday but I was off work so it was on my desk this morning! Will start soon, really looking forward to this!
Another very enjoyable book from Ms. Cabot! She has such a great sense of humour. I actually didn't even know what the book was about until it was in my hands, just the fact that Meg wrote it had made me want to read it. Like the Heather Wells series, the Babble series are marketed as adult books as opposed to teen books, but this was a little closer in overall tone (I thought) to the teen market than the Heather books. With the exception of the occasional dirty word and the sex of course! But it was still good and I can now pull the second book out of my TBR pile and start looking for the third book!
Mailing to 300dogs today!

Arrived safely in New Jersey. I have one ray ahead of this and will start it asap. Looking forward to my first Meg Cabot book!
This was the first book I've read by author Meg Cabot. I enjoyed the story and now want to read the sequel "Queen of Babble in the Big City" also. Thanks for sharing your copy of this book MoonBeach03! I already have the address for the next reader and will mail this off tomorrow.

Have received the book from 300dogs. I still have 2 more books to read before reading this book :)
Thanks 300dogs for the bookmark :)
PS:
for solskinn: can you please PM me your address? thanks..

This is like Rebecca Blomwood's story (from the Sophie Kinsella's character) in other version, I think. But Lizzie here doesn't like to shop that much like Becky. Forgive me for comparing those two different characters as I think they both look alike.
Okay after reading about hundred pages, I have decided that Andrew or Andy (Lizzie's ex boyfriend)is a very narcissist arrogant egoist selfish man I've ever read in my entire reading history. Enough to make me feel wanting to slap him hard on his face, hahaha...
For me the story is quite entertaining rather than funny, aside from the languages chosen here. Speaking of the language, I think Meg Cabot's first trilogy of Lizzie Nichols here should have been rated Adult Chicklit as Meg chose to write in several words that it's not too appropriate for teenagers.

Lizzie Nichols made it to my place today. I can't wait to get started with this book since I already read the second one in the series (Queen of Babble in the Big City) and found it hilarious! I am sure that I'll love this one too!
Yaya, thank you SO MUCH for your package! When asking you to stick stamps on the envelope I wouldv'e never thought that you'd send me a whole lot of stamps from all over the world, accompanied by keychains! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :) You made my day.

Firstly I am really sorry for having kept this book for such a long time already! I figured since I was the last reader it wouldn't be too much trouble. Thanks a lot MoonBeach03 for your understanding!
Secondly since MoonBeach03 told me I could pass the book on to someone who'd also like to read it before it returns back home to her, I PMed a few reliable BCers who have this on their wishlists. The following people would like to read Lizzie Nichols' first book of adventures:
HunterRyu in New Jersey
angela861 in Illinois
I haven't yet finished the book but am close to doing so. I'll make another journal entry with my opinion on it later this week and am going to pass the book on right afterward. Thanks again for sharing it!

A great light novel, and at least as funny as the second one in the series! I enjoyed every bit of it, thanks so much for sharing.

Off to New Jersey!
Received safely! I have a couple other books to finish first, but I will be sure to read and enjoy this as soon as I can and send it along to continue the journey. Thanks for sharing!
I had just read another book about an American girl going to England and finding romance, so the first bit of this story was interesting to see the different approaches by the different authors, of course it doesn't stay in England very long so the books were nothing alike. I just found it amusing to have a similar basic premise of American girl with an overseas love adventure.
I've hugely enjoyed this book! I'm just starting part 3 and have PMed angela861 for an address. I should have this completed in a day or two. It's a catchy read and though it took me some time to get started, I've chugged through it lovingly in the past 4 days to get 1/3rds read. Humorous and delightful! And I thought my romantic history was full of awful mates :0
