Guitar player Dave Kendall is sure that his rock band, Wanderlust, is about to hit the big time. The crowds are bigger at every show and so are the after-parties. They've even got a whole new class of hangers-on, like "Master" Jeffries, the tall, saturnine man who seems to have some sort of weird control over Dave's fellow bandmates.

But Dave's exhausted, and making music isn't as much fun as it used to be. He figures he's just working and partying too hard. But Diana Tregarde suspects there's something wrong.

Diana is a practicing witch and a Guardian of the Earth, and Master Jeffries is on her hit list. she and a charming vampire, Andre Le Brel, have been tracking Jeffries for some time. Now the witch and the bloodsucker face Jeffries and his evil minions in a battle for the soul of rock and roll.
