Vince Flynn has written a line of books surrounding Mitch Rapp, an experience government covert agent whose job is to hunt down terrorists and kill them. He is a man who does not easily follow orders but works more like a free agent despite what he was supposed to do. He is effective in his job.

There are only two weeks before America has an election when a terrorist bomb blows up part of the security detail of one of the Presidential Candidates. The candidate survives but his wife dies and finds himself voted into power two weeks later.

Who set off the bomb? Who gave the orders? Who paid?

With political espionage, Act of Treason is a well written easy to read book that is entertaining leaving you wanting to know what is going to happen next. The ending is not what I was expecting at all.

This is my first book to read written by Vince Flynn and I believe I will be happy to read more of his books which all center around Mitch Rapp.
