My best friend recommended this book to me and said it was one of the best books she has ever read ...

We'll see if she's right. :P

Juanet, you were right! :P

This book was amazing. It took me a while to get through, but I think that was just because I was savoring every moment of reading it and did not want it to end.

I am amazed at the author's ability to take so much historical information and put it all together into a work of historical fiction. She truly did a wonderful job of fitting everything together so perfectly. Nothing was out of place or confusing, and every single scene in this 661 page book somehow advances the plot. She wrote it in such a way that there was never a dull moment. There were no scenes that dragged on and bored me, and for such a long book, I really give Philippa Gregory kudos for that.

I loved George. I must say, he was my very favorite character of all, and even though he was only a secondary character, his tale of love and his downfall was just as tragic as Anne's. Mary was also a very likeable main character, and I thought it was a good choice on the author's part to tell the story from her point of view, especially given that there is not very much historical information about her.

I would recommend this book to anyone. Not only is it an entertaining story, but it is also educational. The Other Boleyn Girl has made me a fan of historical fiction, and I will definitely be reading more by this author in the near future. :)
