I had never read a Louis L'amour novel before this one. I may seek more of them out, but I'm not in any hurry to do so. I see where he would be very popular with people who love horses and the American West, and in fact I've got a student I'm going to hand this on to because he likes both.

I really thought that this book was really good i really liked it for the fact that it was a about the west and cowboys and stuff because i am a cowboy and it is fun. i also liked the book because it kept my attention and was interesting to read. i also like the charecters and the plot of the book the whole thing about the will held it together but the gun fights and stuff were the great part of the book. i also like the part of him just passin through. there were some parts that were perdictable like him falling in love then there were some parts out of know were that shocked the reader like him getting shot and him killing people he didnt know. i guess i liked this because of the horses and the american west.it was really a good book and i would read more of him.
