Three best friends. Two resolutions. One year to pull it off.

Three best friends make a pact over raspberry mojitos one night - this year everything is going to change. Emmy is going to find a man on every continent for some no-strings fun.

Adriana vows she'll secure a five-carat Harry Winston diamond on her fourth finger.

And Leigh can't think of what she needs to change - until literary bad boy Jesse Chapman starts to get under her skin.

Game on.

well first off, shame on me! i thought i had journaled this when it arrived at the house and must have dreamed saying thank you Smurphie for the lovely envelope of goodies that came along with it! the bookmark has been most useful while reading this book which you were kind enough to share! my apologies for the delay in a first journal!!

okay, on to the book. an enjoyable enough read, i don't think this one had the 'oomph' that Devil did though - we needed a really, really bad guy to make it more exciting. this one has some 'kind of' not so nice guys in it but not enough to keep me really on the edge of my seat reading the way Devil did. the other challenge for me was that, while the book looks small and like a quick read - the typeface is tiny for my aging eyes and it took me a good while longer than first anticipated.

all in all, worth the read and i'm thrilled that you were kind enough to share this in a ring.

i've already PMed 300dogs for address and will get this one off again this week.
*edited to add, address recvd and am dropping the book at the post office in 30 minutes 11:35am EST*

happy reading!

Received in yesterday's mail. The homemade book mark is gorgous! Thank you Smurphie. I've read both of Lauren Weisberger's other books and I am looking forward to this one as well.

It seems like Murphy's Law of Bookcrossing got me! All the rays and rings arrive at once-yikes! I finally got to start Chasing Harry Winston earlier this week and had it finished in just two days. As with both previous novels by Lauren Weisberger, I enjoyed this book as well. The ending was not as predictable as I thought it would be and even the transformation of Otis was a nice suprise.

Two of my favorite parts had nothing really to do with the story. The reference to The Rules made me laugh. Ten years ago, my roommates and I used those books, part one and part two, as our guide to dating! Also, the mention of the book Something Borrowed and its sequel Something Blue are both on my TBR list-both rays!

Thank you Smurphie for starting this ray and again for the beautiful bookmark. I already have sunfi's address and will mail this out to her on Saturday.

An enjoyable little book, it took me a little while to get into this one but about half way through it seemed to really pick up for me. I already have Wandering-B's address so I will get this in the mail to her a little later on this week.

I have not yet read The Devil Wears Prada, so I cannot compare the two, but I found this an enjoyable read. I fofund Otis's revelation as a low self-esteem bird and that Adriana would set out to aid him amusing. If it stops raining, I'll get this in the post today. Thanks again for sharing.

Journal Entry 14 by wolkenklang on Tuesday, November 18, 2008
Yes! It just arrived, after exactly two months of travel. That has been quite some way, from Hong Kong to central Europe.
Thank you for sending it to me, Wandering-B, and for including an amazing postcard of Hong Kong! And to Smurphie, thanks so much for providing the book, and for including another great postcard and handmade bookmark! I love those things ...
Can't wait to start reading, as I read the two other books by Lauren Weisberger this year and thoroughly enjoyed both. I think this one is also going to be a huge piece of fun!

Journal Entry 15 by wolkenklang on Friday, December 19, 2008
This space is saved for my opinion on the book. I currently have about 20 pages left to read but won't be able to go on line and tell you what I thought of it until two weeks from now.

Edit January 17th:
I just noticed I never told you what I thought of the book ... Well, all my very smart thoughts on it have already vanished, as it's been already a while that I've read it. However, I really really liked the book! (The only criticism I could come up with is that the three girls were so different from each other, I couldn't really see what held their friendship together that strongly.)

Edit January 7th:
I made a planned release note on this book just before I left for the holidays but didn't get to post the book just until today! I am very sorry, and hope it gets to Denmark as soon as possible (meaning: as soon as the post office servies allow).

Journal Entry 17 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Saturday, January 17, 2009
Arrived today.
Thanks for sending it to me solskinn and thanks for sharing and for the beautiful bookmark and postcard Smurphie.

I'll start reading it as soon as I finish my current read.

Journal Entry 18 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Thursday, January 22, 2009
I don't really know what to say about this book as I fell quite indifferent about it. It was neither good nor bad, I've seen the story line before but that also means that I got what I always want from a chick lit - a nice easy to read story with some good laughs and a couple of "Oh My God!"

I've contacted the next person on the list and hopefully this book will continue its journey soon.
