Here's hoping this finds another reader! Interestingly, I loved Doomsday Book, but couldn't get into this. And normally I don't like dense epics like DB. (I think it reminded me a bit of classic Michael Crichton, which I also like, although I normally don't like thrillers.)

I really enjoyed this smart novel about time travel.

This follows The Doomsday Book, but is much lighter. A couple of the characters from Doomsday show up in brief scenes and the laws of time travel persist, but those are the only similarities.

We follow Ned Henry through various time periods as he searches for the Bishop's Birdstump, tries to fix an incongruity or two to the timeline, and for some rest.

If you enjoy a comedy of errors, historical novels, a touch of romance, and an interesting cast of characters, then I would recommend this book.
