Good Grief
3 journalers for this copy...
I had this book on my wish list for a while, so was very happy to find it at a thrift store. I sat down and read it almost straight through, which was such a nice indulgence. I liked the characters. And Sophie's breakdowns managed to be heart-breaking, yet humorous at the same time. Those were my favorite parts.
I'm not a "happliy-ever-after" person, so the ending wasn't all that satisfying to me, but it was a good book. I hope the next person enjoys it as much as I did.

Arrived home in my bookbox. I've seen this book around a lot, but have never had a copy. So I'll give it a whirl!
Nice, light reading, which I managed to race through pretty quickly because it kept my interest. Nothing really profound, but it was indeed a nice mixture of the serious side of widowhood, with just the right amount of humor thrown in to keep a good balance. I thought the ending was a little weak, but overall not a bad read.
Off to collectorkerri, via relay. Enjoy! :')
Received in the mail yesterday. Thanks!
I really enjoyed Sophie's story. I found it interesting that she would take on a "little sister" while her own life was falling apart, but bringing the troubled character of Crystal into Sophie's life turned out to help her take her life and turn it around. There was just enough humor to make Sophie's debilitating depression from being a widow at age 36 and making it more bearable.
The book is headed to Oak-MediaCenter in California, her prize for winning my monthly RABCK contest.
