Dead Famous

This one is a look at the whole reality tv madness in his usual style - comedy & mystery with a slightly patronising take on women. It's a pretty good story, and as I'm not a fan of Big Brother, I could put up with the mocking.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Am going to take this to the York bookcrossers' meet up this coming Tuesday. I need to clear out a lot of books so I am going to end up taking a ridiculous number. This one kind of goes on a Halloween theme in that there is "dead" in the title.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Anyway, I've read it and found it mildly amusing in places with some good observations on Big Brother culture. (This is where I confess I'm not an expert; I watched the first series when it was something new, but got heartily bored and irritated with it about halfway through the second series and haven't watched since.). However, there's something about the way Elton writes, he sounds like your parents attempting to be 'down with the kids' sometimes, and it just doesn't ring true to me. Yes, I applaud the concept of this book, but I'm not entirely sure about the execution.
