I was home sick today and checking emails when I saw all the Release Alerts. My husband happened to be at a meeting in Fairfield today, so I begged him to go find this one. It was on my wish list. My son is leaving for the Air Force in July and I've found myself reading books about military families lately. I look forward to reading this one. Thanks!
Once I got past the bad grammar in the beginning, I loved the book and had trouble putting it down. It was a wonderful women's friendship novel with a very unique cast of characters. Definitely not the stereotypical characters that you usually find.
The Air Force settings in the beginning were eye-opening for me. I know this will sound strange, but until I read this, I never fully realized that once my son enters the Air Force, I won't really know what his life is like. It never occured to me that he and his future wife and children will have a vocabulary and lifestyle that I won't be able to relate to. I mentioned this to my son and he said "Yeah. I know. I won't even be able to tell you or my wife what I'm doing." This book provided that perspective a little since all of the characters were military wives.
I think I'll save this book to release in San Antonio when my son graduates from boot camp. I'm just grateful my husband went and "caught" it for me. I really enjoyed it.

I left this in the women's restroom at the Skylark Bowling Alley on base. We went bowling shortly before my son had to return to his dorm on one of our proudest days ever - his Air Force graduation day. :)
