Thank you MooMoo for this wonderful book. As it happens I have read this and the sequel but it was a number of years ago and I'm tempted to reread it. However, Mount TBR is so tall that there just isn't time to reread even wonderful books. I'll have to see if I can find someone special or some special occasion to release these books for. I don't think when I read these books that I realized that the author was Australian. I presume he must have spent time in South Africa to write about it so evocatively.
