As a boy, Will Klein had a hero: his older brother, Ken. Then, on a warm suburban night in the Kleins’ affluent New Jersey neighborhood, a young woman—a girl Will had once loved—was found brutally murdered in her family’s basement. The prime suspect: Ken Klein. With the evidence against him overwhelming, Ken simply vanished. And when his shattered family never heard from Ken again, they were sure he was gone for good.
Now eleven years have passed. Will has found proof that Ken is alive. And this is just the first in a series of stunning revelations as Will is forced to confront startling truths about his brother, and even himself. As a violent mystery unwinds around him, Will knows he must press his search all the way to the end. Because the most powerful surprises are yet to come.

Totally caught me out -- hung me out to dry and left me with my mouth open about 4 times during listening to this. Then I kicked myself, because like Will, I'd been given all the clues several times over.
I do like this author.
Will see if Rebekkila or Tennysonsmom is interested in listening to this one.

This is maybe the second or third book I've listened to by this author, and I enjoyed it - a good mystery thriller with plenty of plot twists and unexpected turns. A string of murders and a bunch of suspects, and you don't find out till the end what really happened.....
will release into the next box coming my way......

Am putting this into my "Another CD-Only AudioBookBox" for round two! Hope this finds a good home!
Picked this out of BigJohnLefty's Another Audiobookbox. Sounds like an awesome thriller. Looking forward to listening to this one. Thanks for sharing!
This was my first experience with Harlan Coben's writing. What a tale and what a twist at the end. I like mystery/thrillers, especially if the ending isn't predictable. This story had me saying, "Wow!" as the everything was revealed. Looks like I'll be keeping my eye open for his other books. I'll be handing this audiobook over to my hubby who is leaving on a long road trip. This should definitely keep his interest. Thanks for sharing this goodie!
I'm putting this into booklady331's CD Only Audio Book Bookbox. Happy Travels!
This audio set is visiting us with a lot of friends in booklady331's "CD Only" Book Box --> (Link) I didn't choose this set, so it's going back into the box! Happy travels!
It arrived home in my CD bookbox. Going to keep this one.
Enjoy! lending to my GALS friend. I will get it back when she and her husband listen to it.
Back with me. I will listen to this as soon as I finish my current book.
Harlan Coben has written a superb mystery where every page adds another totally unexpected twist. The plot revolves around poor Will, who has to be the unluckiest man in love ever. His first love is murdered, his worshipped brother is the suspected killer and has been on the lam for 11 years, his current lover is missing. Can things get much worse? Of course they can because Coben makes up good stuff!! I will not say any more about the story because to do so would ruin it for you.
Suffice to say, the different story lines become interwoven, and downright creepy. Gone for Good is a great read, filled with suspense and the knowledge that Coben won't let you figure it out; he always has one more surprise up his sleeve. And the surprises just keep on coming.

Eleven years earlier, Will's older brother Ken became the prime suspect in the rape & murder of Will's ex-girlfriend. However, Ken disappeared before any arrest or conviction could take place, and he hasn't been seen since, leaving his family to suspect that he's likely dead. Now, as Will's mother lies on her deathbed, she alludes to the fact that Ken may be alive. Almost simultaneously, Will's current girlfriend disappears out of the blue. And so begins his quest to find answers to both disappearances, which oddly enough, are connected.
I've read a few Harlan Coben thrillers and have enjoyed them for the most part. As far as abridgments go, I felt that this one captured the meat of the story, flowed well, and didn't feel too choppy. Several surprises and twists, which made it enjoyable. Overall, a good story.
