New book club book for June
I didn't hate this book, but it just felt like nothing happened the entire duration of the story and it seemed like a LONG read. I think that possibly in 2003 when this book was written, it was a very unique story, but now with the Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, there are so may stories like this one and many are of better quality (A Thousand Splendid Suns was fantastic.)

Couldn't help myself! I stopped in at Cafe Mozart and walked out with a handful of books again.
Maybe I enjoyed the book more than ChiBoiler because I haven't--believe it or not--read Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns. I did occasionally feel foot-dragging text, but on the whole, I found it interesting.
