Spotted this book when quickly browsing through at the Summit USJ. A rare impulse buy, for me.
Read this while serving in Malaysia's National Service programme sometime in June '09. It provided me an excuse to retreat to my own bed and read, instead of joining the rest of my dorm-mates in lengthy gossips. Call me anti-social if you like, i'd much prefer curling up in the bed with a good book. I was so engrossed in the lives of the characters, which are so bizarre and interesting, and real, as in filled with themes concerning sexuality and violence, that when the camp commandant asked me what i was reading, i wasn't sure what to answer him.
