Journal Entry 2 by HeresDeb from Grayslake, Illinois USA on Monday, May 12, 2008
The journal has arrived at its first destination! My surprise book was Through the Grinder by Celo Coyle. Thanks for sharing!

I will add the link to the book I send once it reaches starbytes so it doesn't ruin the surprise.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

This journal and a surprise book are now on their way to starbytes, the next on the list. Enjoy your travels overseas!

Journal Entry 4 by starbytes from Calgary, Alberta Canada on Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Thanks so much, Cat02886 and HeresDeb! My surprise book was Tears of the Giraffe by Alexander McCall Smith, the second book in the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series. I've always wanted to read the series and now I hope I don't get hooked on it. LOL!

I'll post the link so that HeresDeb won't have to; http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/6083351/

Thanks so much! This is so much fun! I'll PM Nawoo82 for their address and get the next surprise book sent out asap. =)

Journal Entry 5 by nawoo82 from Brisbane, Queensland Australia on Monday, June 23, 2008
Thanks a million everyone! It was quite a delight to open the parcel and discover what my surprise book was: 'Antony & Cleopatra' by William Shakespeare. I'm catching up on the classics, so this is really a great choice!

Link to the book:
Link to 'Antony & Cleopatra'

I'll contact the next person on the list soon and send the next book on.

Thanks cat02886 for organising this, it's a lot of fun!

The new book and the journal are now on their way to nikkilovesbooks.
Happy Reading and Happy Bookcrossing!

Journal Entry 7 by nikkilovesbooks from Secret Harbour, Western Australia Australia on Tuesday, July 29, 2008
This journal & the surprise book will be posted off tomorrow to Davros-10. Sorry it has taken me a little while to journal. It is such a great idea. Thanks for organising it.

Journal Entry 8 by wingDavros-10wing from Banyo, Queensland Australia on Friday, August 15, 2008
Picked up from the post office this morning a parcel with my surprise book, The Information by Martin Amis. Probably not a book I would have picked for myself, but now that I've had a quick scan through its pages it seems the old adage of never judging a book by its cover is correct! Thanks Nikkilovesbooks!

Also, must say that the journal accompanying the surprise bookring is gorgeous!

Now to try to find what to send to Madmadge...

Journal Entry 9 by wingDavros-10wing from Banyo, Queensland Australia on Saturday, August 16, 2008
Received Madmadge's address details today. Now for the hard part, selecting a suitable book!

Here's the link to the book Nikkilovesbooks sent me too: www.bookcrossing.com/journal/5607913. It's okay to mention what the surprise book is after you've received it.

Going by the list of particpants with countries next to their names, by the time this journal gets home to cat02886 it will have made its way through at least 13 different countries, so will be very well travelled. Great selection cat02886.

Very interesting reading the previous entries in the journal last night - HeresDeb's idea to add stickers inside the front cover of the journal, Nikkilovesbooks' going through the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die list, and so on. I doubt anything I say will be half as interesting.

Journal Entry 10 by wingDavros-10wing from Banyo, Queensland Australia on Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Found a very interesting looking book at the shops today, so interesting that I bought three copies! One for my PC, one for me to send on to Madmadge for this Surprise Bookring, and one I've reserved as a Christmas present for friends.

Now to try to get to the post office during business hours.

I'd just switched off my computer this morning when a parcel came crashing through the letterbox. So, when I'd unwrapped it, I had to switch on the computer again.

My surprise book from Davros-10, all the way from Australia, was How to Talk About Books You Haven't Read by Pierre Bayard. BCID: 282-6473323

Thank you Davros - I'm sure I'll find it very useful. Trouble is I shall have to keep it a while so I can 'fool' all the other bxers. I shall probably send it as a surprise RABCK when I'm done. Thank you too for N;ue List Australia book (Lonely Planet). I'm sure I shall find it very interesting and, if I win the Lottery, perhaps I will travel to Australia again some day! This one had a BCID too - 014-6477038.

Watch this space for which book I shall pick for the next in line (after a bit of research).

What a very good idea this is!

Journal Entry 13 by madmadge from Alderholt, Dorset United Kingdom on Friday, September 5, 2008
OK, so I know I'm making another entry very soon after the first but I've chosen my surprise book for Konjunktiv. I had a look through his/her bookshelf and profile but it didn't help me much because I can't understand German. So I am sending a book which I think has an appropriate title - Travelling Hopefully by Tony Shead.

The BCID is 3046067211

I'm PMing for the address so it should be on its way early next week.

Journal Entry 14 by Konjunktiv from Leipzig, Sachsen Germany on Thursday, September 25, 2008

Yeah Aspenyard, the Surprise ring has hit the hot sands today! :) Thanks!! Thanks so much for the beautiful picture card too! And big thanks to Cat02886 too for organising this great event!
I enjoyed reading all the entries in the journal accompanying the book with all the different handwritings in different colours and inks and styles, adorned with all sorts of cute little stickers all over..
I believe that the greatest surprise in this ring is going to be for Cat02886 herself as she is the one who will remain the most eager and will have to wait the longest to see the contents of the diary, and I'm sure she is really going to be tremendously amazed when the thing finally reaches her!
Thanks to all who have participated in this and contributed in the various colourful ways.
Let me now find something interesting to be sent to starrdust who is next in the line.

Journal Entry 34 by harriscochin from Dubai, Dubai United Arab Emirates on Monday, April 6, 2009
Oops, forgot.. the book Aspenyard sent me is 'Autumn of the Phantoms' by Yasmina Khadra. Thanks Aspenyard for selecting this Algerian theme for me!
