I went to a conference in Statesville this weekend - how could I pass the Triangle area and NOT visit the OBCZ? I picked this up Friday evening on my way through, and dropped off a few of my own. (And had a cup of coffee, of course.)

I'm always interested in books on writing, and even though screenplays aren't really my thing I'm sure I'll pick up some interesting input. So much for shrinking Mt. TBR...

Thanks for the book!

Wow - compared to prose writing, screenwriting is incredibly structured. After reading this, I have even less desire to write a screenplay than I did when I started! On the other hand, it gave me a lot to think about as far as outlining and structuring larger prose pieces such as novels, and it was interesting to walk through Field's process. (It's also a little dated, both in the scripts/movies it discusses and in the end when it talks about screenwriting in the 80s and where it's likely to go in the future - but I think the technique and the advice stand the test of time.)

I think I am going to include this book with those I'm sending to randomlet for the New Zealand Unconvention mbag. It's a paperback, so should be light enough to mail, and since I picked it up at an OBCZ I'd like to see it travel further. I should be sending those books off sometime this week.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to look up bookcrossing and my journal entry. It would be great if you could leave a journal entry on the book. I'd love to know what path the book takes once it leaves me, but it is not necessary. There is no obligation. If you decide to join bookcrossing that would be great but you can also leave anonymous entries as well.

Enjoy the book. It is yours to do what you want. You may keep it or release it back into the wild for someone else to find.

Happy Reading!
Kecia

I'm sorry I was not able to send this book to the convention in New Zealand. Life's circumstances changed and I was not able to afford the postage. I am trying to get all books to new BC homes. Will release this one into the wild at hospital ER room.

Take Care,
Kecia
