To be honest, it's been such a long time since I read this (at least 15 years) that I don't recall much about it, other than that it's part of a group of books based on the same "world" and I loved Jacques' writing when I was wrapped up in it as a jr. high student. Card catalog reads: When the peaceful life in and around ancient Redwall Abbey is shattered by the arrival of the evil rat Cluny and his villainous hordes, Matthias, a young mouse, determines to find the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior.

This book has a plastic-wrapped dust jacket & is a former library book-- complete with a manila pocket in the back with its card catalog cards listing it under Fantasy, and Animals- Fiction(Pines Elementary School, Plymouth NC). I believe I picked it up from either a library book sale or used book store, but either way I rediscovered it in a box of books at my parents' house this past winter.
