AWESOME! I did love this book. One of my favourite elements is the flawed narrator - Humphrey is not as clever as he says he is.
I found this at Java Blend and since I have been watching the Ghost make its daily sorties out into the ocean from the Sambro wharf for the filming of this story, I thought I would read it. There was one incorrect digit in the BCID but those crafty folks at Bookcrossing managed to track it down so I could journal it. Amazing!!
A sea adventure and the beginning of a love story, providing cover for a very interesting investigation of evil, in the person of the schooner captain, Wolf Larsen. More information about sailing than I needed, more descriptions of physical and psychological torture than needed to get the point across, charmingly outdated musings on the differences between men and women.
