I mentioned to a friend that I had never read a Georgette Heyer book. She is a fan and has lots, if not all of them. She had some rather old copies that were destined for the charity shop and she gave them to me instead. When I have read them I can either pass them on, release them in the wild or give them to another charity shop. Or keep them!
I have just started reading this one and I'm enjoying Heyer's witty turn of phrase. Will review properly when I've finished it.

I have now read this and enjoyed it very much. The plot contained no surprises - I knew how it was going to end, but I thought it was well written and I loved the use of language. It is hard to believe that this was written in 1965, because of the similarity in style and content with Jane Austen.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I enjoyed this book - loved the language ('beautiful ninnyhammer' etc.) - so I've released it in a place that was crying out for some decent reading matter - the local eye clinic!
Left on a shelf in the reception area, where the magazines are.
