I did like this book a lot actually, which was suprising as I thought 'Tractors in Ukrania' was a bit over-rated. The reviews on the cover call it 'hilarious' and 'a rollicking road trip'; I must have missed those bits, some of it was distinctly unfunny and very moving, but as a shrewd novel about immigration and exploitation it's very good. It links in nicely with the first novel too, which is a nice touch.
I think I'll give it 8/10; I wasn't gripped all the time but it certainly wasn't bad.
