Lots of carefully researched circus lore and photos, but some of the stand-out sequences were the author’s true-to-life and sometimes humorous descriptions of Jacob Jankowski as an old man.

I just realized that I didn't come back and journal this book when I finished it. That's sad, because I really liked it, but now I don't have too much to say, specifically. A good read, both historically with facts about the circus, and just plain enjoyably, with the personal story woven in.
