I still tend to think of these as Potter-wannabes, but they're not bad. We'll see how this one is!

I find these rather dark and long for the alleged target age-group, but they're not bad. The author seems to think that young people won't notice missing details, but I doubt that's true. I was always quite particular about continuity across titles in a series when I was young!

I'll keep reading the series, but I think I'll have to find a home for them.
