Journal Entry 1 by wingbookczukwing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA on Thursday, March 27, 2008
I have a huge stack of books to register, but I just don't remember where I got each and every one. For the most part, they are all unread, including this one. I may, or may not get to read them before I release them. I' desperately trying to clear up the clutter in the house before we become buried alive in books (which is not necessarily a bad way to go!)

The cover of this book is different. It is an older edition.

A classic. If you haven't read it, you should. Interesting to note it made the Banned Books List.
Challenged in Wise County, Va. (1982) due to "sexually offensive" passages. Four members of the Alabama State Textbook Committee (1983) called for the rejection of this book because it is a "real downer."

Annotation
The journal of a Jewish girl in her early teens describes both the joys and torments of daily life, as well as typical adolescent thoughts, throughout two years spent in hiding with her family during the Nazi occupation of Holland.
From the Publisher
For almost fifty years, Anne Frank's diary has moved millions with its testament to the human spirit's indestructibility, but readers have never seen the full text of this beloved book—until now. This new translation, performed by Winona Ryder, restores nearly one third of Anne's entries, excised by her father in previous editions, revealing her burgeoning sexuality, her stormy relationship with her mother, and more.

Released 16 yrs ago (3/28/2008 UTC) at Cafe Kronic- closed November 2012 in Charleston, South Carolina USA
