Oh Tom Robbins....however can I release this beloved book?
For those of you who haven't experienced his writing, any of the following might occur:

1) Rapture
2) Confusion
3) Disgust
4) Laughter
5) all of the above, all at the same moment, possibly in an alternate reality

For those of you who have experienced Mr. Robbins book, you surely understand #5

Where else but one of his books could you learn the purpose of the moon, understand the difference between criminals and outlaws, and accept a pack of Camel Cigarettes as a perfectly normal setting for part of the story's action? Wild, creative, and oddly philosophical, this book will never put you to sleep out of boredom!

Hello,

I'd like to say this is a great book, but as I was unable to finish it... I can't . I'm an open minded person who'll try anything... And when Yazi, in Chicago said she loved this book I decided to take her up on the recomendation.

Yes the book starts out ok, but you have to be ready for Robbin's wandering thoughts and unusual style of story telling. Going from high octane thrillers to something thats halfway between The Goon Show and Dickens.. takes a bit of adjustment. Ok it not a very big book.. about 300 pages I got to 140... almost halfway.

Yes the story is good in parts and funny, especially when there are a number of "Intermissions", where Robbins talks about his faithful remmington Typewriter... Yazi has offered to give me a better Book by Robbins in the future... I'll take it under advisement..

If your a Robbins fan.. then it's ok but not up to his usual hight standard so I've been led to believe... I'll put it up on the forum or release it into the care of a secondhand bookshop...

Enjoy... more then i did hopefully
