I found this both informative and entertaining. One of the best memoirs of depression/mental illness I have read.

This was given to me by a dear friend. It is an excellent book, in which the author artfully delineates the reality of depression to those who may not understand it, and provides an empathetic friend to the lesions of those who are intimitely acquainted with depression. This book was released at a time when depression and related pharmacology were less understood and accepted by the population at large; the book goes a long way to demystifying this unfortunate paradigm.
I would add that I think it's really neat that the copy I read was signed by the author, Tracy Thompson.
I have passed the book back onto the family of my friend, whence I trust it shall be further disseminated. Good fortune and good reading to all.
