The Night Watch
3 journalers for this copy...
This book is about 4 Londoners in the 1940's. It's a very thoroughly researched and rendered book -- a grand novel that "chronicles love, sex, obsession among four Britons in crumbling World War II London."
A wandering book -- the karma of literature!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Left on the waiting room table before my massage for someone to take home and enjoy.
If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it. Then, when you are ready (no hurry), pass it along for someone else to enjoy! Thanks and happy reading!

Returned to me after being released a year ago! Now to send it somewhere else....
This was in a stack of books my mother was planning on donating to https://bookthing.org/ and I decided to liberate it for myself first as I've enjoyed other books by this author. She couldn't recall where she got this book, but somehow it made it's way to Maryland.
Also, I haven't been on bookcrossing for around 10 years it seems. I have many fond memories of book hunting and book freeing - so good to see it's still active.
RE: the book itself, I was mildly disappointed and think some of her other books are better reads. It was interesting enough to finish, but didn't really pull me in like some of Waters' other tales have. I would suggest reading 'Fingersmith' or 'Tipping the Velvet' over this one.
In any case, it's in my "ready to be freed" pile and will hopefully be traveling again soon.

Bought (cheap) on Amazon. Reading them in order printed so I'm expecting some plot twists ahead!
Interesting story with a unique literary device
