This is an heroic tale from Howard Pyle, the late 19th-early 20th Century interpreter of tales and fables. Bearskin, an original story, comes from his collection The Wonder Clock. Raised in a devout Quaker family, Pyle was heavily influenced by the Bible, fairy tales, folk stories and the wonderful medieval ballad of Robin Hood. In Bearskin, his unique wit is also lovingly brandished. This recent edition of the story was illustrated by Caldecott Medal winner Trina Schart Hyman. Her illustrations blend marvelously with the tale.

I'll call this traveling. It goes into a box bound for a bookcrossing family in Ohio.
