Rich, deep,intricate,bloody,poetic--almost impossible to describe. Book is about evil perpertrated by Americans heading west, Indians, and Mexicans, based on real events in history. I am glad that I've read at least one book by Cormac McCarthy and hope that I will have the courage to read another. This book is for readers who enjoy the very best writing available. It's probably best to read this book in a setting where it can be discussed with others.
