My Cousin Rachel is a mystery/psychological thriller novel written in 1951. It's dark, mysterious, suspenseful, psychological, and will likely leave you with lingering confliction about what all has occurred. This is a story about whether there was a crime committed in the first place. It turns up leaving the reader trying to guess as to whose story you want to believe, and no one wins in the end.
The book is a character-driven plot with plenty of reason for mistrust everyone.
