As usual, with this series, I love the settings and the characters and the humour. The actual 'mystery' side of things takes a backseat. Not one of the best in the series but a good light read. Found myself snickering over Qwill's interactions with kitten and with Baby. ;)
Book is now reserved for futurecat who has it on her wishlist. I am hoping to hand it to her in person!

The trouble with reading these books out of order is that sometimes you get a bit confused about the comings and goings of the various characters. Of course, the good thing about it is when you get to see a character who is important in the later books make their very low-key entry. Like Derek Cuttlebrink, who gets a minor walk-in in this book as the busboy who delivers dinner to Qwill and the cats.

Given to me by Futurecat at last nights monthly bookcrossing meeting at Cafe Bleu in Christchurch. Haven't read any of these series of books... so better give it a go. Will put it on my 'to be read' shelf.... with the many others I have acquired thanks to the Bookcrossing Convention!!!

Finally got around to reading this book. Haven't read any in this series before. It was... okay. Not my usual type of read. Gave it to my mother-in-law last week. She is going to read it and release it - somewhere in Ashburton.
