Still quite moving

A very interesting book in my opinion. I'd heard about "the monologues" before and I saw Calista Flockhart talk about it (and perform the WASP moan) on Conan O'Brian. Ever since I wanted to see the play when it's on. And the bad rep doesn't put me off! :-)

A very interesting book, I found it breathtaking on the one hand and funny on the other. I guess every woman should read it.

Ladies' Night

found at the Ladies' Night - something in English for my exam preparation... ;-)

It definitely didn't change my life... I like the USA and their way of living, but this book is too American in their sense of political correctness and driving aggressively towards one goal.

The idea is very good to create awareness to fight against violence against women, but the V-Day hype is too much. If one wants to study mass hysteria, this book might be a nice starting point to see, how people (in this case women) can be drawn into one project. After The Day is over some of them even developped depression - according to the letters published in the last section of the book.

If the Vagina Monologues were to be performed in Vienna, I might want to see it (depending on the woman performing it, I guess), but I do not expect life changing experiences...

I got it from SabinaLorenz on Friday, in order to hand it over to blondgeek47 at the next meetup, but then I left the bag at Café Stein. I called them and asked if they found it, but they didn't, so I guess somebody took it... Sorry
