I read this book back in high school, and I remember it being completely outrageous and hysterically funny. Definitely crosses over into the surreal (I spent a lot of time telling my self, "there's no way he could get away with that!") but that's what makes it so humerous. Just when you think he's done it all, something else happens! I also remember having to keep a dictionary by my side while I read it...
