This book has already been travelling a bit before it got registered... I read it myself about a year and a half ago, I think, and my friend Kamischka
picked it off my shelf when she came to visit me in Rotterdam. She took it home to Poland with her, and gave it back to me a few days ago when I was in Warsaw on a stopover. :D
I thought "The Historian" was a pretty entertaining book, though the ending really irked me. You have 800 pages of build up and then the story is over in a flash - pretty lame, if you ask me, and it completely spoiled the believability of the book for me. What I liked the most about this book was the traveling: the descriptions of all the places visited are fantastic and make me want to travel (though not much is needed to achieve that! :D).
Sent to aunt-sophie today, happy travels!
received today as well! thanks rapturina!
