Book came in the mail today. It looks like one I will enjoy reading to my son. As soon as I am done it will be available for another person to check out. And thanks for the postcard tabby-cat-owner! I hope we will talk more soon.
A great little book. I read this one to my son, which wasn't always easy when the Os were omitted from words. Very enjoyable.

What a wee gem of a book. I had never even heard of it before, but was running out of books to read in Coimbra, so had a look at availables from the 1001-Library. The pictures really make the book, I enjoyed reading this, it is a quick read, but with an effective message.

I thought the concept of this book was good but I didn't really enjoy it, I certainly wouldn't have classed it as an American Classic. Good to see a 1001 library book moving around so much

Arrived today Carole thank you. I opened the package and immediately started reading it and had finished within the hour. It's such a strange but lovely story and the pictures were full of charm.
