Very disconcerting story based on the true history of Charles Byrne, whose bones are still to be found in the Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons in London. It's full of dark descriptions and events which remind us how horrid life probably was for poor people in the 18th century!

Found this book in the Impressionist wing of the National Gallery in Edinburgh! Was just mentioning the site to a friend in a pub the night before, so imagine my surprise when I found a book the next day! Sounds like an interesting read, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Will do so soon, especially with my 8 hour flight to DC approaching. Then I can release it in the States! Thanks for the book.
