Autobiography (I assume? But the narrator is referred to as Olivia, not Iris - I'm not sure why the name change) of an incest survivor, describing not only the immediate effects of the abuse, but the long term effects it has had on her life. Depressing, of course (how could it be otherwise, given the subject matter?), but I think worth reading (if only to put your own troubles into perspective!).

Journal Entry 3 by Lytteltonwitch from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Wednesday, February 20, 2008
I have read this book and it has left me very confused. It written as an authbiography of an incest survivor but it is fulled with inconsistency. The book finishes with her being happily married to Sam Schmeid and about the book he had written about St Catherine's Monastery. If you do your research there is no evidence of Sam having written this book. Kurt Weitzmann is the author of the book and he also is given credit for the photographer as well. Where did her current husband come from, what happened to Sam. What happened to the daughter Belinda who is briefly mentioned in the book. At one stage she claims to only have her daughter Arlette one weekend in every three but also talks about long holidays in various countries. She also talks about having no money so how did she pay for these holidays.
I question the book as a work of non-fiction.
