I bought this book at Barnes and Noble about a year ago after I read The Emperor's Children. I am finally reading it and so far I am liking it. It has started out a bit slow but has a lot of potential. A friend of mine read it and he said he liked it even better then Emperor's Children.

I finished reading it today and I did not agree that it was better than The Emperor's Children, but it was still good. It contained a lot of historical info that I wasn't familiar with so I learned some things. In the end, I would say it was well written and entertaining, but I think I had higher hopes for it because of how much I loved Emperor's Children. I think I will try and offer it as a ray.
