The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency was the first of a series of novels by Alexander McCall Smith featuring Mma Precious Ramotswe, a lady detective, proprietor of the agency.
When not solving cases, Mma Precious Ramotswe spends her time drinking red bush tea (a revolting concoction) and discussing the way of the world. As time passes by, less time is spent solving cases and more time drinking tea, such that there must come a point in the series when nothing happens at all!
