I read this book quite a long time ago, but I always love Sue Grafton books... hope you enjoy it!
Picked up at the Bookcrossing meet-up at the Black Stilt.
Now this was fun! I'd never read any of Grafton's books, and this was a nice intro. (Though A for Alibi might have been a better start. -G-)
I read this aloud to Diane and now she's hooked on Kinsey Millhone too!

I was kind of worried about reading this book for fear that I'd be stuck with 25 my letters of the alphabet to read. I escaped the addiction though. I thought this was probably one of the better detective novels I'd read but, as I'm not a mystery person, it really didn't grab me. I wasn't surprised by the ending and I didn't really care that much what happened to the characters and the climax seemed a little half assed. Maybe I was just in a bad mood when I read it. This book has seen Hazelton, Terrace, Smither and Vancouver, BC.
Having said all that some of Kinsey's observations on life are fun and I liked her landlord.

I'm pretty sure I gave this to a friend in May. She likes mysteries more than I.
