Not a bad concept, but a mostly forgettable book nonetheless (I read it some time ago and had to flick through again to remind myself what it was like!). Apparently it's a first book and it shows, as the plot, characters and dialogue would have benefited greatly from a lot more development and a less lenient publisher. What can I say...it passed the weekend when I needed some purely escapist reading material.
