Received yesterday. Will read ASAP.

Journal Entry 4 by collectorkerri from Springfield, Illinois USA on Thursday, February 28, 2008
I'm glad NMReader has found new copies of the books. I didn't like this one as much as some of the others. The books are starting to feel a little bit like fillers on the way to the big series conclusion.

Sent on to katintheboots with book 12.

Journal Entry 5 by katintheboots on Thursday, March 6, 2008
I'm glad to see the spiral moving again. I'll get right on this.

Journal Entry 6 by katintheboots on Sunday, March 16, 2008
I must agree with collectorkerri that a lot of this book, if not the entire book, felt like filler. There are whole pages where the author just sort of rambles through similes and metaphors that I ended up skimming.

I'll hold onto this until I finish book 12 and The Beatrice Letters.

Journal Entry 7 by katintheboots on Sunday, March 23, 2008
I put this in the mail to bigcurlyloz yesterday afternoon with book 12.

Journal Entry 8 by bigcurlyloz from Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire United Kingdom on Monday, March 31, 2008
Woop! This arrived along with Book 12 and The Beatrice Letters today. Thank you for posting to England katintheboots.

Journal Entry 9 by bigcurlyloz from Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, April 30, 2008
I agree with the previous journallers that there seemed to be a lot of padding. I hope the final two books answer a lot of the questions/explain all!

Arrived in a big parcel of Lemony Snicket's in the week. I'm currently reading the last batch, hindered by the gardening, so am well stranded with the Baudelaires! Thank you NMReader and AnglersRest.

Thank you. I am really pleased to have been introduced to this series and will look out for them when we get grand children. Ever hopeful!

Journal Entry 15 by wingMary-Twing from Bretzfeld, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Book 11 and 12 arrived today.
What a surprise - Thanks. :)
I really need to read these now - hope to get some time soon.
Right now I'm very busy - so, please, may I ask you for a bit patience?

I will try to finish these books as soon as I can - and if it takes too long, please let me know.

I will try to start in about 1/2/3 weeks time. And I'm sure I won't take long to finish them ;)

Yes - seems and feels like a filler.
It took me ages to finish this book.
This is definately the book of the series I enjoyed least so far.
I didn't like the excessive use of "aye" first by the captain and later by Fiona - and as well I didn't like to read again and again about the water cycle... it might be funny the first time and/or the second one... but then it becomes stupid and annoying...
Anyway - I will try to finish the last book about the Baudelaires I have with me still this year.
The 13th book is about to arrive.
I'm anxious now to finish these stories - but nevertheless I'm still curious to reveal the end.

The last four books of this series arrived today@Key West, Florida, USA. Thank you, Mary-T! Almost half of the package wrap was torn, and my address was torn at the middle. Yet, a kind postman put rubber bands around the package, and all books were safely delivered in my mailbox.
At first, I thought this could be the sign of what was coming, but I know the truth: somebody from VFD tried steal books from me. And, it was not a kind postman but Mr. Snicket intercepted their action successfully and delivered them to me! Now, I have a very important mission to accomplish; I need to read these books secretly from people around me and safely pass them on to the next person!

6.20.09-
I am sorry to keep these books long. I am still reading them. As soon as I finish reading them, I will mail them to the next reader.

6.29.09-
I borrowed an audio book for this book from library, so I can read while I'm working. When I finish reading, I will add my journal. I am planning to mail last four books to the next reader by the end of this weekend.

Alright, I finish listening this book. I'm kind of glad that I borrowed this audio book actually. The narrator of this is Tim Curry, and he is fabulous! His "Captain Widdershins" is super funny, and you should listen Carmalita's singing!! There are two characters came back from the past, and the one came later surprised me although he didn't do anything much. Several questions were answered, but we also have new questions. I wonder if they will be answered in the next two books...
