"Sleep, Pale Sister, a powerful, atmospheric and blackly gothic evocation of Victorian artistic life, was originally published before Joanne Harris achieved worldwide recognition."

Interesting but I found it difficult to read as the story goes from what seems to be reality to dreams/supernatural happenings. At the end of the book, I was still wondering what was the whole point of the major plot as each character loses.
